It is suggested that one-stage reimplantation is a reasonably reliable procedure for the management of an infected prosthesis and the use of Gentamicin-impregnated bone cement and the Streptomicin bead mixed with Gentamic in improve the success of treating or preventing recurrence of the infection. Clinical application of different operative approach of total knee replacement in knee valgus patients. Retrospective cohort study.
Different operative approaches in total knee replacement according to the severity of knee valgus were proved as effective and safe procedures, which deserved further application. Expand
[Effects of thromboprophylaxis duration on coagulation indicators after total hip replacement].
The status of hypercoagulability may sustain at least 35 days after total hip replacement, and though not completely eliminated, it can still be reduced by prolonged thromboprophylaxis. Expand
Medium-term results of ceramic-on-polyethylene Zweymüller-Plus total hip arthroplasty.
The high survival rate of the cementless Zweymüller-Plus system with ceramic-on-polyethylene bearing at mid-term follow-up makes this total hip arthroplasty system reliable for patients with various hip joint diseases. Expand
[Low-molecular-weight heparin for preventing deep-vein thrombosis after total joint arthroplasty].
Low-molecular-weight heparin can significantly reduce the incidence of deep-vein thrombosis after total joint replacement after total hip and knee replacement. Expand
[Analysis of short-term results of post total knee arthroplasty using TC-Dynamic posterior stabilized prostheses].
The long-term outcome of the patients implanted with the TC-Dynamic prostheses should be observed in a larger number of TKA operations, and the basic surgical principles, including excision of both the cruciate ligaments and correction of the bone deformity with the proper balancing of the soft tissues in flexion and extension, are still crucial to successful TKA and to the long- term high survival rate of the knee prostheses. [Primary Zweymuller total hip arthroplasty for osteoarthritis secondary to congenital acetabular dysplasia].
It is considered that the Zweymuller total hip arthroplasty provides stable fixation of the cup in the presence of moderate acetabular dysplasia without structural bone grafting or cementing. Expand
[Total knee arthroplasty by lateral parapatellar approach for valgus knee].
Through lateral approach, "Z" plasty of the capsule can release the lateral structure and decrease the pressure of common peroneal nerve for TKR with moderate to severe fixed valgus knee, lateral approach is an effective way to correct the deformity. Expand
[The second stage revision for infected total hip arthroplasty using antibiotic-loaded cement prosthesis].
The success of the protocol to control the delayed infection after THA are complete debridement, enough interval and using antibiotic-loaded cement prosthesis in two stage revision. Expand
[Reconstruction of hip, knee, and ankle bony fused in non-functional position of ankylosing spondylitis patients].
Simultaneous ipsilateral total hip, knee and ankle replacement not only reduced cost for hospitalization, but also facilitated early rehabilitation and satisfactory range of motion and function were observed. Expand
