Factors influencing cannibalism in the wolf spider Pardosa agrestis (Araneae, Lycosidae)
The results showed that cannibalism was strongly positively correlated with both weight ratio and hunger, but absolute size/age of an individual could not predict the occurrence of a cannibalistic event.
Amphibole perspective to unravel pre-eruptive processes and conditions in volcanic plumbing systems beneath intermediate arc volcanoes: a case study from Ciomadul volcano (SE Carpathians)

Ciomadul is the youngest volcano in the Carpathian–Pannonian region produced crystal-rich high-K dacites that contain abundant amphibole phenocrysts. The amphiboles in the studied dacites are…
Origin and ascent history of unusually crystal-rich alkaline basaltic magmas from the western Pannonian Basin
The last eruptions of the monogenetic Bakony-Balaton Highland Volcanic Field (western Pannonian Basin, Hungary) produced unusually crystal- and xenolith-rich alkaline basalts which are unique among…
Radiocarbon Dating of the Last Volcanic Eruptions of Ciomadul Volcano, Southeast Carpathians, Eastern-Central Europe
This paper provides new accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) radiocarbon age data for the last volcanic events in the Carpathian-Pannonian region of eastern-central Europe. The eruption ages were…
Assessment of the efficiency of a hand‐held suction device for sampling spiders: improved density estimation or oversampling?
It is proposed that an “edge effect” can explain higher catches in transect samples, caused by lateral suction at the edges, which inflated the number of animals caught in thetransect application.
Origin and geodynamic relationships of the Late Miocene to Quaternary alkaline basalt volcanism in the Pannonian basin, eastern–central Europe

Alkaline basaltic volcanism has been taking place in the Carpathian–Pannonian region since 11 Ma and the last eruptions occurred only at 100–500 ka. It resulted in scattered low-magma volume volcanic…
Foraging in agricultural fields: local ‘sit-and-move’ strategy scales up to risk-averse habitat use in a wolf spider
Abstract By making field observations on the movement pattern of the agrobiont wolf spider Pardosa agrestis at two spatiotemporal scales, we explored how fine-scale foraging movements scale up to…
Morphometrical and geochronological constraints on the youngest eruptive activity in East-Central Europe at the Ciomadul (Csomád) lava dome complex, East Carpathians
Constraints on the timing of Quaternary volcanism and duration of magma residence at Ciomadul volcano, east–central Europe, from combined U–Th/He and U–Th zircon geochronology
