The Application of Constrained Least Squares Estimation to Image Restoration by Digital Computer
- B. Hunt
- MathematicsIEEE transactions on computers
- 1 September 1973
It is demonstrated that, for convolution-type models of image restoration, special properties of the linear system of equations can be used to reduce the computational requirements.
Karhunen-Loeve multispectral image restoration, part I: Theory
It is shown that optimal restoration must take place in the Karhunen-Loeve domain and that high quality approximate multispectral restorations must be achieved at less computational cost than exact restoration.
Compression of hyperspectral imagery using the 3-D DCT and hybrid DPCM/DCT
- G. Abousleman, M. Marcellin, B. Hunt
- Computer ScienceIEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remoteā¦
- 1995
Two systems are presented for compression of hyperspectral imagery which utilize trellis coded quantization (TCQ) and DPCM to spectrally decorrelate the data, while a 2D DCT coding scheme is used for spatial decorrelation.
Bayesian Methods in Nonlinear Digital Image Restoration
- B. Hunt
- Computer ScienceIEEE transactions on computers
- 1 March 1977
A model is used which explicitly includes nonlinear relations between intensity and film density, by use of the D-log E curve, and a maximum a posteriori (Bayes) estimate of the restored image is derived.
Matrix formulation of the reconstruction of phase values from phase differences
- B. Hunt
- Physics
- 1 March 1979
The phase reconstruction problem is formulated in terms of a vector-matrix multiplication and it is shown that previous solution methods are equivalent to this general description, and the errors in reconstruction are analyzed.

How projections affect the dimension spectrum of fractal
- B. Hunt, V. Kaloshin
- Mathematics
- 1 September 1997
We introduce a new potential-theoretic definition of the dimension spectrum of a probability measure for q > 1 and explain its relation to prior definitions. We apply this definition to prove that ifā¦
