- Austin B. Williams, A. Williams, E. Williams, B. Williams, A. Williams
- Environmental Science, Biology
The genus Callinectes and its 14 species are reevaluated and a fresh look is taken at the component species in order that major areas of study such as fisheries biology, ecology, zoogeography, embryology, and physiology can proceed on a stable nomenclatural basis.
Two New Caridean Shrimps (Bresiliidae) From a Hydrothermal Field on the Mid-atlantic Ridge
Rimicaris, a new genus, and two new species of caridean shrimps, R. exoculata and R. chacei, are recorded in swarms from a thermally influenced site in the rift valley of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, indicating placement in the family Bresiliidae which is distributed in surface to mid-ocean depths.

- Austin B. Williams
- Biology, Geology
Five species of decapod crustaceans new to science are described and species of both Alvinocaris and Bythograea are now known from the eastern Pacific and Mid-Atlantic.
A NEW CRAB FAMILY FROM THE VICINITY OF SUBMARINE THERMAL VENTS ON THE GALAPAGOS RIFT (CRUSTACEA: DECAPODA: BRACHYURA)1
- Austin B. Williams
Bythograea thermydron, a new genus and new species of brachyuran crab, is described from the vicinity of submarine thermal vents on the Galapagos Rift and is placed in an in dependent superfamily.

La nouvelle espece est plus proche de ses congeneres non-hydrothermaux de la mer de Banda and du nord du Pacifique central that of ceux de sites hydrothermau.
A New Caridean Shrimp of the Family Bresiliidae From Thermal Vents of the Galapagos Rift
ABSTRACT Alvinocaris lusca, a new genus and species of caridean shrimp, is recorded from the thermally influenced Rose Garden area of the Galapagos Rift zone. Characters of this form indicate…
A NEW GENUS AND SPECIES OF CARIDEAN SHRIMP (CRUSTACEA: DECAPODA: BRESILIIDAE) FROM HYDROTHERMAL VENTS ON LOIHI SEAMOUNT, HAWAII
— Opaepele loihi, new genus and species, is described from hydrothermal vents on Loihi Seamount, Hawaii, a mid-plate, hot-spot volcano at 18°55'N, 155°16'W, 980 m depth. This new form is related to…
