- Computer ScienceIEEE transactions on multimedia
- 1 April 2012
A new content-based, non-intrusive quality of experience (QoE) prediction model for low bitrate and resolution (QCIF) H.264 encoded videos and its application in video quality adaptation over Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) networks is illustrated.
Content Clustering Based Video Quality Prediction Model for MPEG4 Video Streaming over Wireless Networks
- Asiya Khan, Lingfen Sun, E. Ifeachor
- Business, Computer ScienceIEEE International Conference on Communications
- 14 June 2009
This paper presents a two step approach to video quality prediction, where video sequences are classified into groups representing different content types using cluster analysis and video quality is predicted from network level parameter and application level parameters using Principal Component Analysis (PCA).
Quality of experience-driven adaptation scheme for video applications over wireless networks
- Asiya Khan, Lingfen Sun, E. Jammeh, E. Ifeachor
- Business, Computer ScienceIET Communications
- 23 July 2010
The proposed scheme makes it possible for content providers to achieve optimum streaming suitable for the network and content type for a requested QoE, and is beneficial for network providers for network resource provision and planning, and therefore maximising existing network infrastructure by providing service differentiation.
Content-Based Video Quality Prediction for MPEG4 Video Streaming over Wireless Networks
- Asiya Khan, Lingfen Sun, E. Ifeachor
- BusinessJ. Multim.
- 8 January 2009
The main aim of this paper is the prediction of video quality combining the application and network level parameters for all content types and confirmed that the video quality is more sensitive to network level compared to application level parameters.
Sero-Epidemiological Survey of Human Cystic Echinococcosis in Kashmir, North India
- B. Fomda, Asiya Khan, N. Malla
- MedicinePLoS ONE
- 27 April 2015
The study suggests the presence of asymptomatic infection in subjects in Kashmir, North India, and efforts need to be made for implementation of effective prevention measures to reduce the infection burden, which may otherwise lead to symptomatology and complications in the infected subjects.

- E. Jammeh, I. Mkwawa, Asiya Khan, M. Goudarzi, Lingfen Sun, E. Ifeachor
- Business, Computer ScienceTelecommunications Systems
- 2012
Results show that the adaptive VoIP architecture was implemented and tested both in NS2 and in an Open IMS Core network to allow extensive simulation and test-bed evaluation and showed that the scheme was optimally responsive to available network bandwidth and congestion for both voice and video and optimised delivered QoE for different network conditions.
NDM-1 (New Delhi metallo beta lactamase-1) producing Gram-negative bacilli: Emergence & clinical implications
- B. Fomda, Asiya Khan, D. Zahoor
- Medicine, BiologyThe Indian journal of medical research
- 1 November 2014
The study showed the presence of clinical isolates expressing NDM-1 in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India and these isolates harbour plasmid mediated multiple drug resistant determinants and can disseminate easily across several unrelated genera.
