Tannic acid treatment protects AZT induced hepatotoxicity by decreasing the ALT, AST and alkaline phosphatase levels and significantly reduces the oxidative damage by preventing reduction in glutathione and decreasing the level of malondialdehyde in liver of AZT treated mice.
