„Cloud Chamber‟ is a live performance in which the invisible quantum world becomes visible as a violinist and subatomic particle tracks duet together. An electronic instrument was developed which can be "played" live by radioactive atomic particles. Electronic circuitry was developed enabling a violin to create a physical force field that directly affects(More)
This paper presents a musical instrument, which uses in vitro neuronal networks to synthesise sounds. Cultures of dissociated neurons are grown on a dish with an embedded rectangular array of electrodes (MEA). Isolated neurons reconnect with one another via an extensive network of synaptically connected projections to form a dense monolayer of neurons.(More)
We present a selection method designed for eliminating species redundancy in clusters of putative orthologous sequences, to be applied as a post-processing procedure to pre-clustered data obtained from other methods. The algorithm can always zero-out the cluster redundancy while preserving the number of species of the original cluster
„Cloud Chamber‟ is a live performance created by composer Alexis Kirke in which the invisible quantum world becomes visible as a violinist and subatomic particle tracks duet together for an audience. An instrument has been developed which can be "played" live by radioactive atomic particles. Electronic circuitry is being developed which will enable a(More)
