The 11.46-Mb draft genome of D. hansenii strain MTCC 234 is reported, which is even more halotolerant than strain CBS767, and comparative analysis of these sequences would definitely provide further insight into the halotolerance of this yeast.

It is found that the components of class C core vacuole/endosome tethering (CORVET) complex are essential for yeast viability in the presence of a subthreshold dose of fludioxonil and that their overexpression alleviates fludoxinil toxicity.
