Comparison of SSR and SNP Markers in Estimation of Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Indian Rice Varieties
Simple sequence repeat (SSR) and Single Nucleotide Polymorphic (SNP), the two most robust markers for identifying rice varieties were compared for assessment of genetic diversity and population structure and it was indicated that maximum diversity was partitioned between and within individual level but not between populations.

Given the high success rate of CBDP primers in generating markers in the tested species and advantages like ease in marker development and assay with reproducible profiles, they could potentially be exploited in other species as well for assessing genetic diversity, cultivar identification, construction of linkage map and marker- assisted selection.
Disruption of mptpB impairs the ability of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to survive in guinea pigs
It is shown that disruption of the mptpB gene impairs the ability of the mutant strain to survive in activated macrophage and guinea pigs but not in resting macrophages suggesting the importance of its role in the host–pathogen interaction.
Genetic diversity trend in Indian rice varieties: an analysis using SSR markers
The results demonstrated that the Indian rice varieties harbors huge amount of genetic diversity, however, the trait based improvement program in the last decades forced breeders to rely on few parents, which resulted in loss of gene diversity during 2006 to 2013.

Green microalga Chlorella vulgaris as a potential feedstock for biodiesel
BACKGROUND: A major bottleneck in microalgal biodiesel production is lipid content, which is often low in microalgal species. The present study examines Chlorella vulgaris as a potential feedstock…
Prevalence and Haemato – biochemical Studies on Naturally Occurring Gout in Chhattisgarh
Haematological results showed increase in total erythrocyte count, total leukocyte count (TLC) and haemoglobin (Hb) concentration, and significant increase in serum amino transferase, alkaline phosphatases and albumin were also found in natural case of gout positive birds.

Analysis of Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Rice Germplasm from North-Eastern Region of India and Development of a Core Germplasm Set
The North-Eastern region (NER) of India, comprising of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura, is a hot spot for genetic diversity and the most probable origin of…
