Estimating the reproducibility of psychological science

A large-scale assessment suggests that experimental reproducibility in psychology leaves a lot to be desired, and correlational tests suggest that replication success was better predicted by the strength of original evidence than by characteristics of the original and replication teams.
Clinical intuition in mental health care: A discussion and focus groups

It is concluded that in actual practice, clinicians combine the empirical approach to their clients with the use of their professional intuitions, and explaining when clinical intuition might be helpful to trainee clinical psychologists and counsellors would be a useful complement rather than an antonym of teaching empirically based decision processes.
