One approach to the study of AI is to observe how animals and man solve problems requiring some degree of thought and use of intelligence. The psychological models that are then derived, can next be expressed in computer models. In short, this is the "psychological approach to AI."
AI research is sometimes believed to be an area of limited practicality. A discussion of a few applications of AI to practical uses may help some to have a less limited view of the field.
As AI projects often use large amounts of storage, the development of high resolution for storing and retrieving data on photo-graphic film may in the future provide a contribution.
