This study shows that elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and plasma total homocysteine contribute independently to the likelihood of an increased urinary albumin:creatinine ratio. This result suggests that total homocysteine and C-reactive protein may be acting by separate mechanistic pathways.

On the ninth hole, he started to complain about an upset stomach. He suspected that it was indigestion, since he had eaten a hamburger with slices of Bermuda onion for lunch. Nonetheless, he(More)
We hypothesized that the association of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) with urinary albumin excretion (UAE) is predominately mediated through its correlation with the metabolic syndrome. Serum CRP and urine albumin:creatinine ratios (ACR) from 720 preventive cardiology patients were analyzed to estimate age- and gender-adjusted relative risk of(More)
BACKGROUND Although coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) has been proven to have mortality and morbidity benefits in patients with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction and multivessel disease, the appropriate timing of this procedure remains unclear. Therefore, we proposed a propensity score-matched analysis comparing the clinical outcomes between(More)

The patient denied taking any prescription or(More)
