Mechanism of the Citrate Transporters in Carbohydrate and Citrate Cometabolism in Lactococcus andLeuconostoc Species
It is demonstrated that the endogenous CitP of Lactococcus lactis has the same properties, showing that the few differences in the amino acid sequences of the CitPs of members of the two genera do not result in different catalytic mechanisms.
Epicuticular wax content and morphology as related to ethylene and storage performance of ‘Navelate’ orange fruit

A random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) assay coupled to a fast and reproducible cell lysis method from Lactobacillus colonies were developed to type lactobacilli of different strains and species,…
Comparison of the activity of antifungal hexapeptides and the fungicides thiabendazole and imazalil against postharvest fungal pathogens.
Glucose transport by the phosphoenolpyruvate:mannose phosphotransferase system in Lactobacillus casei ATCC 393 and its role in carbon catabolite repression.
A 2-deoxy-D-glucose-resistant mutant of a pLZ15-cured derivative of Lactobacillus casei ATCC 393 was isolated and suggested that the mutated element of the complex IIABCman was responsible for a strong repression by glucose and mannose of the lactose and ribose assimilation genes, while assimilation of galactose was only weakly repressed.
Genetics of l-Sorbose Transport and Metabolism in Lactobacillus casei
Results of studies on enzyme activities and transcriptional analysis revealed that the two gene clusters, sorRE and sorFABCDG, are induced by L-sorbose and subject to catabolite repression by D-glucose.
Complexation of imazalil with beta-cyclodextrin, residue uptake, persistence, and activity against penicillium decay in citrus fruit following postharvest dip treatments.

In vitro assays showed that the freshly prepared BetaCD-IMZ was as effective as IMZ, although 1- and 4-day-old betaCD- IMZ mixtures were more effective, and structural characterization of the inclusion complex and its antifungal activity against Penicillium digitatum and P. italicum assessed by in vitro and in vivo tests are reported.
Lactobacillus curvatus has a glucose transport system homologous to the mannose family of phosphoenolpyruvate-dependent phosphotransferase systems.
In Lactobacillus curvatus, a phosphoenolpyruvate:mannose phosphotransferase system (mannose-PTS) has been characterized and it was shown to be involved in glucose and mannose transport, but no…
[Schwartz-Bartter syndrome due to a mediastino-pulmonary tumor. Assay of antidiuretic material and study of a natriuretic humoral factor].
Comparative analysis of the sensitivity to distinct antimicrobials among Penicillium spp. causing fruit postharvest decay
Virulence analysis and phylogenetic reconstruction confirmed the host specificity and monophyletic origin for P. digitatum , contrary to the closely-related species P. expansum and P. italicum, and that PAF26 is more active towards Penicillium citrus fruit pathogens.
