This paper presents several methods of extending the dimensionality of 1D sequences in order to utilize the advantages that this offers, and a new type of 2D array construction is described, which meets the above requirements.

The synthesis of matrices with good correlation, from cyclic shifts of pseudonoise columns, from shift sequences of m-arrays to produce arrays for watermarking of digital images is described.
