There is a need for studies on the influence of plant components on methane production to be performed with standardized samples, and where there are consistent effects, the literature suggests that saponins mitigate methanogenesis mainly by reducing the number of protozoa.

In food preference experiments, larvae preferred young undamaged alfalfa plants over plants that had been damaged by feeding larvae 5 and 7 days earlier, while no difference in feeding preferences could be detected 1, 9, and 14 days after damage, which suggests a peak in the herbivore induced resistance of al falfa approximately one week after initial damage.

Of the 53 compounds characterized, 19 hydroxycinnamates derivatives were tentativelycharacterized in male flowers of date palm and 15 of them were recorded for the first time.
Comparative anti-platelet and antioxidant properties of polyphenol-rich extracts from: berries of Aronia melanocarpa, seeds of grape and bark of Yucca schidigera in vitro

It is concluded that low contents of saponins in amaranth seeds and their relatively low toxicity guarantee thatAmaranth-derived products create no significant hazard for the consumer.
Effect of laser light treatment on some biochemical and physiological processes in seeds and seedlings of white lupine and faba bean
Pre-sowing stimulation with laser had a positive influence on the growth and development of seedlings, which had longer hypocotyl and roots in comparison to seedlings which grew from non irradiated seeds.

This study reveals the potent antibiofilm activity of hop-derived compounds for the first time and shows how plant compounds in the culture medium at sub-MIC concentrations decreased the adhesion of Staphylococci to abiotic surfaces, which in turn caused inhibition of biofilm formation.
