Among MSK radiologists, there was a much higher prevalence and greater severity of burnout than has been previously reported for radiologists and other physicians and there were differences in prevalence and severity among practice settings, genders, and longevity cohorts.

It is concluded that radiographic SS in the ED is of low diagnostic utility and that patients with suspected shunt malfunction should instead initially undergo CT and/or nuclear imaging.
