A taxonomy of model‐based testing approaches
- M. Utting, A. Pretschner, B. Legeard
- Environmental ScienceSoftw. Test. Verification Reliab.
- 1 August 2012
The process of model‐based testing is discussed and a taxonomy that covers the key aspects of MBT approaches is defined to help with understanding the characteristics, similarities and differences of those approaches, and with classifying the approach used in a particular MBT tool.
Ontology-based personalized search and browsing
Research is reported on that adapts information navigation based on a user profile structured as a weighted concept hierarchy that shows that these automatically created profiles reflect the user's interests quite well and they are able to produce moderate improvements when applied to search results.
Engineering Automotive Software
- M. Broy, Ingolf Krüger, A. Pretschner, C. Salzmann
- Computer ScienceProceedings of the IEEE
- 2 April 2007
The idiosyncrasies of the domain are pinpoints, the essentials of automotive software are characterized, and the challenges of the automotive software engineering are discussed.
Ontology based personalized search
- A. Pretschner, Susan Gauch
- Computer ScienceProceedings 11th International Conference on…
- 8 November 1999
This paper explores ways of incorporating users' interests into the search process to improve the results and shows that fully automatic creation of large hierarchical user profiles is possible.
A Policy Language for Distributed Usage Control
Translations between OSL and two rights expression languages (RELs) from the DRM area make it possible to use DRM mechanisms to enforce OSL policies and enhance the interoperability of DRM mechanisms.
Model-Based Testing in Practice
- A. Pretschner
- Computer ScienceFM
- 18 July 2005
The goal of testing is failure detection: observable differences between the behaviors of implementation and specification, which is an important and expensive activity in the development process.
Software Engineering for Automotive Systems: A Roadmap
- A. Pretschner, M. Broy, Ingolf Krüger, T. Stauner
- Computer ScienceFuture of Software Engineering (FOSE '07)
- 23 May 2007
This paper presents research challenges in the domain of automotive software engineering and outlines the priorities for further research in this area.
A taxonomy of model-based testing
An overview of model-based testing is provided to help with understanding benefits and limitations, understanding the approach used in a particular model- based testing tool, and understanding the issues involved in integrating model-Based testing into a software development process.
Code obfuscation against symbolic execution attacks
- Sebastian Banescu, C. Collberg, Vijay Ganesh, Zack Newsham, A. Pretschner
- Computer Science, MathematicsACSAC
- 5 December 2016
This paper addresses the problem of characterizing the resilience of code obfuscation transformations against automated symbolic execution attacks, complementing existing works that measure the potency of obfuscation Transformations against human-assisted attacks through user studies.
