Posthypoxic treatment with MK‐801 reduces hypoxic‐ischemic damage in the neonatal rat
Results show that in neonates MK-801 is neuroprotective even when administered up to 1 hr after the end of a hypoxic-ischemic insult.

Results suggest that beta-carboline kindling is mediated through the benzodiazepine receptor, and this ligand block the expression of kindled seizures in a dose-dependent manner.

Results suggested the cells had cholinergic receptor‐mediated functions that reflected some neurotransmitter‐sensitive properties of uterine smooth muscle in situ, and when determined by a specific radioligand binding assay, subcellular fractions of the cultured cells bound muscarinic cholininic agonists and antagonists with affinities expected of the musCarinic receptor.

Dissociation of the plasma and tissue renin-substrate levels in response to central administration of steroids indicates local synthesis of this protein, possibly under central control.
The influence of aging on angiotensinogen production by rat vascular smooth muscle cells in vitro.
Results suggest that angiotensinogen is synthesized in arterial smooth muscle, and when the activity of the plasma renin system decreases with advancing age, increased activity of a local angiotENSin system may contribute to the regulation of vascular tone.
