Analysis of the structural changes effected by T345A, R689Q, and M731T mutations, based on homologous replacements in the known crystal structure of the sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca-ATPase, provides insights into the molecular bases for the kinetic alterations.

Biochemical and histochemical correlates indicate that gamma-GT can promote LDL oxidation by hydrolyzing GSH into more potent iron reductants, and may provide mechanistic clues to the epidemiologic evidence for a possible correlation between persistent elevation of Gamma-GT and the risk of fatal reinfarction in patients with ischemic heart disease.
Mapping the substrate selectivity of new hydrolases using colorimetric screening: lipases from Bacillus thermocatenulatus and Ophiostoma piliferum, esterases from Pseudomonas fluorescens and…
The propeptide of cruzipain − a potent selective inhibitor of the trypanosomal enzymes cruzipain and brucipain, and of the human enzyme cathepsin F
Papain‐like cysteine proteases of pathogenic protozoa play important roles in parasite growth, differentiation and host cell invasion and the interaction between the β1p–α3p loop of the propeptide and the propePTide‐binding loop of mature enzymes is identified as a plausible cause of the observed inhibitory selectivity.
Mirror-image packing in enantiomer discrimination molecular basis for the enantioselectivity of B.cepacia lipase toward 2-methyl-3-phenyl-1-propanol.
Highly enantioselective kinetic resolution of primary alcohols of the type Ph-X-CH(CH3)-CH2OH by Pseudomonas cepacia lipase: effect of acyl chain length and solvent
