Topologically Free Partial Actions and Faithful Representations of Crossed Products
- A. Lebedev
- 1 July 2005
We study the relationship between the topological freeness of partial actions of discrete groups and faithful representations of the corresponding crossed products.
Echinochrome, a naturally occurring iron chelator and free radical scavenger in artificial and natural membrane systems.
How do calcium ions induce free radical oxidation of hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone? Ca2+ stabilizes the naphthosemiquinone anion-radical of echinochrome A.
Magnetic properties of polydisperse ferrofluids: a critical comparison between experiment, theory, and computer simulation.

It is shown that the majority of available theories yield results that depend strongly on the ferrofluid concentration, even though the magnetic composition should be fixed, while the second-order modified mean-field (MMF2) theory provides excellent predictions for the initial susceptibility measured in simulations.
Resonant acoustic spectroscopy at low Q factors
The application of resonant acoustic spectroscopy to rock, building materials, and materials with cracks is hindered by the substantial mechanical losses in these materials and by the overlapping of…
Arrow of time and its reversal on the IBM quantum computer

- PhysicsScientific Reports
- 28 December 2017
It is shown that, while in nature the complex conjugation needed for time reversal may appear exponentially improbable, one can design a quantum algorithm that includes complex conjjugation and thus reverses a given quantum state.
ON THE ROTATIONAL EFFECT IN NONUNIFORM MAGNETIC FLUIDS
In the paper, two problems are considered in which the volume ponderomotive forces associated with internal rotations are shown to be mainly responsible for generation of circulation flows in…
Topologically free partial actions and faithful representations of partial crossed products
- A. Lebedev
- 7 May 2003
In this paper we investigate the interrelation between the topological freedom of partial actions of discrete groups and faithful representations of partial crossed products.

The effects of Ca(2+) and other alkaline-earth metal cations on catecholate autoxidation can be defined as 1) additional deprotonation of catechol OH-groups involved in the formation of M(2+)-catecholate complexes and 2) formation of relatively stable free-radical intermediates responsible for chain propagation.
Measurement of anomalously high hydration of (dA) n · (dT) n double helices in dilute solution
It is reported that different DNA sequences differ in their hydration, and that (dA) n · (dT) n in particular has an anomalously high level of hydration.
