In electron microscopy of rabbit blood leucocytes cultured after infection with a large dose of neurovaccinia virus, virus particles can be observed within 24 hours in the cytoplasm of the monocytoid cells and occasionally in the polymorphonuclear cells, but never in the lymphocytes.
