Cerebrospinal Fluid Penetration Rate and Efficacy of Afatinib in Patients with EGFR Mutation-positive Non-small Cell Lung Cancer with Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis: A Multicenter Prospective Study.
Afatinib was effective against leptomeningeal carcinomatosis particularly in patients with NSCLC harboring uncommon EGFR mutations and its ability to penetrate CSF and its efficacy against specific mutation types was found.
Population pharmacokinetics of afatinib and exposure-safety relationships in Japanese patients with EGFR mutation-positive non-small cell lung cancer
Results of simulation based on final PK model indicated that hepatic impairment had a significant effect on afatinib levels in plasma after multiple dosing and contributed to the high inter-patient variability and high plasma concentrations of afatinIB following multiple treatments.
Enhanced expression of glucose transporter GLUT3 in tumorigenic HeLa cell hybrids associated with tumor suppressor dysfunction.
The results suggest that the enhanced GLUT3 expression in HeLa cell hybrids associated with the tumorigenic phenotypes may account for the increased affinity for 2-deoxyglucose.
Effects of Methylxanthine Derivatives on Adriamycin Concentration and Antitumor Activity
The metabolism of caffeine may weaken its effect as a biochemical modulator, and that pentoxifylline and theobromine would be of value as biochemical modulators of adriamycin.
Caffeine enhances adriamycin antitumor activity in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma-bearing mice.
Caffeine failed to increase ADR concentration in the ascites tumor after administration of ADR at a dose of 2.0 mg/kg, and the effect of caffeine appears to be due to its effect on the tumor distribution ofADR.
Altered N-glycosylation of glucose transporter-1 associated with radiation-induced tumorigenesis of human cell hybrids.
A close correlation between the glycosylation change in GLUT1 with increased affinity to D-glucose and tumorigenicity of these human cell hybrids is suggested.
1‐Methyl‐3‐propyl‐7‐butylxanthine, a Novel Biochemical Modulator, Enhances Therapeutic Efficacy of Adriamycin
1‐Methyl‐3‐propyl‐7‐butylxanthine (XT‐77), which had the greatest inhibitory effect on adriamycin efflux in vitro among the compounds tested, potentiated adriamicin‐induced antitumor activity by causing an increase of adri amycin concentration in the tumor in vitro.
Radical scavenging ability of glycyrrhizin
Glycyrrhizin (Gly), a major constituent of licorice root, has been used for the treatment of chronic liver diseases in Japan. Reports have been contradictory as to whether Gly scavenges hydroxyl
