The results indicate that exercise has no immediate effect on serum EPO, whereas the higher EPO level one and two days after SEH could result from the occurring hemodilution as is indicated by a slight negative correlation between [EPO] and Hct.

Knowing the molecular mechanisms of Ad-mediated immune evasion will be instrumental for designing better vectors for gene therapy and vaccination, and may lead to a more rational treatment of life-threatening Ad infections, e.g. in transplantation patients.
Atrial natriuretic peptide during and after maximal and submaximal exercise under normoxic and hypoxic conditions

Investigation of exercise intensity and duration as well as of inspiratory oxygen content on plasma atrial natriuretic peptide concentration concluded that besides other mechanisms increased Osm might be involved in the exercise-dependent increase of plasma [ANP].
Effects of exercise during normoxia and hypoxia on the growth hormone—insulin-like growth factor I axis

It was concluded that the exercise-associated elevated plasma [hGH] did not increase the hepatic IGF I production, and the high energy demand during and after the long-lasting intensive exercise may have overridden an existing hGH stimulus on plasma IGH I, which was most obvious during hypoxia.

A clear correlation between particular channel phenotypes in the native membrane, their subunit composition and gene regulation of the respective mRNAs has been established and may be required for longterm adaptive changes in synaptic efficacy and in electrical excitability of neurones during development or differentiation.
Down-modulation of the apoptosis receptor Fas and the EGF receptor by the adenovirus E3/10.4-14.5K proteins requires the concerted action of two distinct transport signals

To characterize functional determinants within the Ad2 10.4-14.5K mutant proteins, residues contained within these putative transport motifs were essential for down-regulation of Fas and the EGFR in vivo, two distinct transport signals present in the cytoplasmic tail of both proteins were identified.
