Bothriocephalidean tapeworms (Cestoda) of freshwater fish in Africa, including erection of Kirstenella n. gen. and description of Tetracampos martinae n. sp.
A survey of bothriocephalidean tapeworms (Cestoda) parasitizing African freshwater fish is provided and a new genus is proposed, distinguished from other genera of the Bothriocephalidae by the presence of an apical disc armed with two lateral semicircles of large hooks, cortical vitelline follicles and large-sizedcirrus-sac.

A survey of proteocephalidean cestodes found in the firewood catfish Sorubimichthys planiceps from the Amazon River is provided and a new genus, Lenhataenia, is proposed, which has all genital organs in the cortex, and is most similar to Chambriella in possessing biloculate suckers and lacking a metascolex.
Ophiotaenia bungari n. sp. (Cestoda), a parasite of Bungarus fasciatus (Schneider) (Ophidia: Elapidae) from Vietnam, with comments on relative ovarian size as a new and potentially useful diagnostic…
The ovary of species parasitic in snakes in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia is not only considerably smaller than that of congeneric species from European hosts, but also smaller than in all species of Proteocephalus parasitic in teleost fishes throughout the world.
Mariauxiella pimelodi n. g., n. sp. (Cestoda: Monticelliidae): a parasite of pimelodid siluroid fishes from South America
Mariauxiella pimelodi n. g., n. sp. (Cestoda, Monticelliidae, Othinoscolecinae) is described from the South American siluriform fishes Pimelodus ornatus and Pimelodus sp. caught in Brazil and…

Brooksiella praeputialis and Goezeella siluri Fuhrmann, 1916 from the Amazonian siluriform fish Cetopsis coecutiens (Siluriformes: Cetopsidae) are redescribed.
Taxonomic status of Woodland’s enigmatic tapeworms (Cestoda: Proteocephalidea) from Amazonian catfishes: back to museum collections
Poorly known proteocephalidean cestodes of peculiar morphology from pimelodid catfishes in Amazonia, Brazil, were studied and re-examination of their type-specimens and evaluation of newly-collected material made it possible to clarify their taxonomic status.

Ophiotaenia lapata sp n. (Eucestoda: Proteocephalidea) from Madagascar: a parasite of the endemic snake Madagascarophis colubrinus (Colubridae)
Ophiotaenia lapata is the third proteocephal idean cestode reported from madagascar and possesses a three-l ay ered embry ophore, which is different from the other african species and can be distinguished by the absence of an apical organ.

Redescription of two cestodes (Eucestoda: Proteocephalidea) parasitic in Phractocephalus hemioliopterus (Siluriformes) from the Amazon and erection of Scholzia gen. n
The morphology and distribution of microtriches of some areas of the body surface of both species are studied and compared and may be useful as a supplementary character to distinguish species.
