It was found that adsorption of the bacteria strongly depended on the structure of the silicon carbide and the pH of the aqueous solution, which affected the isoelectric point of both the silicon carbs and the bacterial cells.

The study results showed that the incremental loss and lower pine stand quality are the result of long‐term feeding of the pine shoot beetles in the pine shoots, suggesting that other causes, such as differences in site class, climatic factors or air pollution, can be excluded.
