Single dose of MDMA causes extensive decrement of serotoninergic fibre density without blockage of the fast axonal transport in Dark Agouti rat brain and spinal cord
TLDR
The results suggest that a single dose of MDMA elicits widespread depletion of TpH and 5‐HTT immunoreactivity in serotoninergic axons without morphological sign of the blockage of the fast anterograde axonal transport, and does not support the notion of MDMA‐induced axotomy of serotoninergic neurones.
Neuroprotective and anticonvulsant effects of EGIS‐8332, a non‐competitive AMPA receptor antagonist, in a range of animal models
TLDR
The present study evaluated the neuroprotective and anticonvulsant effects of EGIS‐8332, a non‐competitive AMPA receptor antagonist, as a potential drug candidate.
Analysis of the early phase of ischemic-reperfusion brain damage using histological, neurochemical and functional methods
TLDR
To study how precisely the ischaemic-reperfusion damage (IR) is reflected by the methods routinely applied in the preclinical practice, rats underwent in vivo assessment applying 4 different neurological scales.
