Criteria and principles of optimizing snow deposition in a system of runoff-regulating forest belts with respect to their direction relative to cardinal points, width of the space between belts, floristic and species composition, aerodynamic design, number of rows, and other indices.
The role of natural factors in the formation of meltwater land runoff is analyzed, and the law of limiting factors of the erosion-hydrologic process is stated. Also, the equation of runoff calculation is reckoned, and the method of predicting it is presented.
