Monthly mean aerosol optical depth (AOD) over ocean is compared from a total of 9 aerosol retrievals during a 40 months period. Comparisons of AOD have been made both for the entire period and sub periods. We identify regions where there is large disagreement and good agreement between the aerosol satellite retrievals. Signifi-5 cant differences in AOD have… (More)
The effect of the conducting electrode on the interaction of dust grains in a an ion flow is discussed. It is shown that two grains levitat-ing above the electrode at the same height may attract one another. This results in the instability of a dust layer in a plasma sheath.
The energy-momentum conservation law is used to investigate the interaction of pulses in the framework of nonlinear electrodynamics with Lorentz-invariant constitutive relations. It is shown that for the pulses of the arbitrary shape the interaction results in phase shift only.
It is shown that inhomogeneous heating of the dust grain by ion flow in a glow discharge results in a photophoresislike force. According to our estimations, this radiometric force can be comparably-valued with the ion-drag force under the conditions of microgravity dusty plasma experiments.
