Physics
It is shown that a chirped periodically poled lithium niobate crystal is used to generate the ultrabroad spectrum needed for a 1.5 cycle pulse through difference frequency mixing of spectrally broadened pulse from a Ti:sapphire amplifier.
Attosecond correlation dynamics

- 17 July 2023
Physics
Metasurfaces, optics made from subwavelength-scale nanostructures, have been limited to millimeter-sizes by the scaling challenge of producing vast numbers of precisely engineered elements over a…
Light-wave dynamic control of magnetism
- F. SiegristF. Siegrist Martin Schultze
- 18 December 2018
Physics
This study unveils light-field coherent control of spin dynamics and macroscopic magnetic moments in the initial non-dissipative temporal regime and establishes optical frequencies as the speed limit of future coherent spintronic applications, spin transistors and data storage media.
Extreme ultraviolet metalens by vacuum guiding
- M. OssianderM. Meretska M. Schultze
- 7 April 2023
Physics, Materials Science
Extreme ultraviolet (EUV) radiation is a key technology for material science, attosecond metrology, and lithography. Here, we experimentally demonstrate metasurfaces as a superior way to focus EUV…
